Thank you for testing 🧡
Coordinate work — the Project Manager experience
You're testing Workboku as a Project Manager. PMs run the middle of the marketplace: they take incoming projects, assign the right freelancers, plan milestones, and release payment from escrow as work is approved. It runs on the Workboku Pro app. Payments are in test mode — no real money moves.
Before you start
You can't sign yourself up as a PM. The app's registration only creates freelancer accounts, and PMs must be created and approved by the team. Ask us to provision a PM test account for you — we'll send you the login. If your account is still “waitlisted”, you'll see a “You're on the Waitlist” screen and can't go further until it's approved.
- Install Workboku Pro from the link the team sends (Play internal testing, TestFlight, or a direct build).
- Use the PM login we give you — don't create a new account.
- To see anything useful, ask us to seed a test project that gets routed to your PM account.
Install & log in
- Install Workboku Pro and open it.
- On Sign In, enter the PM email & password we provided.
- An approved PM lands on the PM workspace (blue theme). A waitlisted one lands on the waitlist screen — tell us if so.

Get oriented
The PM workspace has five tabs:
- Dashboard — your stats and recent projects (live)
- Projects — every project you manage (live)
- Clients — customer list (demo data — see known issues)
- Freelancers — talent list (demo data)
- Analytics — revenue / performance (demo data)
The PM avatar (top-right) opens quick actions: Edit Profile, Notifications, Payment Methods, Settings, Help, a Light / Dark / System theme toggle, and Logout.
Dashboard & projects
- On Dashboard (“Hi, <name>!”) check the live stat cards — Active, In Review, Completed, All Projects. Tap one to jump into Projects filtered by that status.
- Open the Projects tab and use the Active / In Review / Completed / All filters.
- Tap a project to open its Project detail.
Tell us if the counts on the dashboard match what you see in the Projects list.
Assign freelancers to a project
Inside Project detail you'll see the overview (status, client, category, location, amount) and a funds panel showing Released to expert vs Held in escrow. To staff the project:
- If the project is In Review, tap Approve & activate to start it. You can also Message customer.
- Under Suggested freelancers (auto-matched by area & distance), tap Offer — or use Browse all freelancers to search by name/skill/area and tap Assign (“Offer this job?”).
- Assigned people appear under On this project with a rating / “chance of success”. To remove one, tap Remove, pick a reason and add a note — they're notified and can appeal.
The expert's quote section is read-only for PMs — tapping it opens the quote in view-only mode. That's intended, not a bug.
Plan & review milestones
- In Project detail, go to Milestones and tap Add or Plan with AI to generate a suggested milestone plan.
- Open a milestone to see the submitted work (files / links) and a feedback thread between you, the customer and the professional.
- Use the status actions: Start work, Forward to customer (sends it for the customer's review), Request rework, or Reopen.
Tell us if “Plan with AI” produces a sensible plan and whether the feedback thread is easy to follow.
Approve & release payment
This is the money-moving action — worth testing carefully.
- Open an approved milestone and tap Approve & release ₦<amount>.
- Confirm the dialog — it releases that amount from escrow to the expert and marks the milestone paid.
- Check the project's funds panel updates: Held in escrow goes down, Released to expert goes up.
Because this moves real (test) escrow money, tell us if the numbers don't add up, if a release succeeds but the milestone doesn't show as paid, or vice-versa.
Notifications
When a new project is posted, Workboku auto-assigns it to the best-matched, least-busy PM. If that's you, you should get a “new assignment” notification. You'll also get alerts for milestone updates, job offers and messages.
- Watch for the in-app banner and check the Notifications screen.
- Tapping a notification should deep-link straight to the right project or milestone — tell us if any land on the wrong screen.
Push notifications need a real device build — they won't arrive on Expo Go or a simulator.
Known issues — no need to report these
- The Clients, Freelancers and Analytics tabs show fixed demo numbers (e.g. ₦2.5M revenue, “John Doe”) — they aren't wired to real data yet, so don't trust or report those figures. Only Dashboard, Projects, Project detail and Milestones are live.
- There's no self-serve PM signup — accounts are provisioned by the team.
- “Plan with AI” quality depends on the backend and may vary.
- Empty states everywhere on a fresh account until projects are seeded — that's expected.
- The “Skip OTP” button is a temporary shortcut — don't use it.
How to report a bug
Anything confusing, broken, or ugly is worth telling us. A screenshot or screen-recording helps a lot. Copy this template:
The quickest way is the ticket form — it emails you a copy and gives you a tracking number:
